Simple New Testament worship. Families together. The Word opened. A meal after.
A Typical Sunday
We come together at 10:30 a.m. First there is singing, prayer, and Scripture read aloud—about thirty minutes to prepare the heart. Then about an hour is given to the preached Word. A hymn that gathers up the sermon follows, then a brief time of prayer requests. The morning service is ordinarily finished by noon.
Every Sunday we eat together afterward. On the second Sunday of the month there is also an afternoon worship service following lunch, around 1:30 p.m.

Beginning
Congregational singing, prayer, and the reading of Scripture. All ages are encouraged to come before His presence with singing.

The Word Preached
About an hour opening a passage—often a series through a book of the Bible, Old or New Testament.

Hymn and Prayer
A hymn on the theme of the sermon, then prayer requests from the congregation.

Lunch
A shared meal. This is the ordinary way fellowship is built here.
How We Worship
Our services are traditional in the sense that we mean to keep the simplicity of New Testament worship: singing, prayer, Scripture, preaching, prayer requests, and announcements.
We worship as families. Children are welcome in the service with their parents—to participate and to hear from the same God as the adults.
The instrument we enjoy using as the vehicle of praise is the voice, singing with grace in our hearts.
We love doctrinally rich hymns. Congregational singing—one heart and one voice—is prized above performed music.
The Sermon
We mean to highly value the Word of God as He has ordained. Preaching seeks to expose the meaning of the passage as it reveals God’s glory and His will for us. Series often run through a whole book.
All preaching is driven by the Gospel of Grace: God saving sinners through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
Afterward the pastors are available to meet with visitors—questions about Christ, about this congregation, or a request for prayer.
If This Is Your First Sunday
Most Lord’s Days you will find thirty to fifty people. That is not a crowd you disappear into. You will be greeted. Come as you are able. Sit. Sing what you can. Stay for the meal if you can.

What should I wear?
Sunday best to business-casual. Wear what lets you come without fuss and sit under the Word without distraction.
What do you do with children?
They worship with the church. There is no separate children’s program during the service. They hear the same Scripture and sing the same hymns.
Is there instruments or a praise team?
No. Singing is a cappella. The aim is the congregation’s voice, not a performance at the front.
How small is small?
Thirty to fifty is ordinary. You will not be anonymous. You also will not be put on the spot.
Must I stay for lunch?
No. If you can stay, the table is how this church becomes a people to a stranger—not a reception line.
